I have 2 10' cables. They broke after a couple of days of light useage.
- I took them a part and both of them had cold sold solder joints at the connectors.
- I re-solder every joints and it seems to be working fine since.
- I do a lot of recording, and specifically used this cable for my '57.
I did one recording recently (which took a while of tweaking with the wires, to actually get a signal), and after that, it completely died. This is not a durable cable, and cannot even take the slightest abuse. I've been using my mic cable for a few years now and it's still working.
However, it's not giving me the quality I look for when I do my recordings. If I'm using it in a situation where it's not turned up much or where soft imperfections will be covered up, it's okay.
But when used in the studio, the plugs need to be in a specific spot for them to not give me a loud hum. So if money's an issue, these will work fine.
